FAQs

What should I wear to my first riding lesson?

Safety is our priority. Please wear long pants (jeggings or breeches are best) and boots with a flat sole and a small heel. If you don't have your own equestrian gear yet, we can provide a safety-approved helmet for your initial sessions.

Do I need to own my own horse to have a lesson?

No. We have a selection of well-educated school horses suitable for various levels, from those learning to walk, trot, and canter, to more advanced riders. If you do own a horse, you are more than welcome to bring them to the property for private coaching.

What is the minimum age for children’s lessons?

There is no minimum age to start riding. The younger and less experienced the rider, the more assisted the ride will be.

What happens if the weather is bad?

As an outdoor sport, we do ride in most conditions. However, in the event of heavy rain we can reschedule the lesson. We will make contact on the day of the lesson to confirm if conditions are looking dubious.

What is your cancellation policy?

To ensure our horses and coaches are managed fairly, we require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur the full session fee.
